SHOW NOTES

Adversity now, Advantage later

The verse that says, “gold is tested by fire” holds a lot of meaning. For one,  it is referring to the genuineness of faith. The same goes for a person’s character. The adversities and most challenging moments in our life are usually the most difficult times to go back and talk about in the open.

If we really think about it, we are all soldiers in the warzone, and battle scars are nothing to be ashamed of. Instead, we should take pride in them because if we look closer, they are the reason we become the real person that we are, stronger and wiser.

This week on the show, Brett Eaton will talk about how you can go straightforward and intentional about approaching life, coming out stronger after surviving adversities, being brutally aware of yourself, going about every little detail that will move you closer to fulfillment, and being crystal clear of what you want to achieve. And these come with the tagline, “Adversity now, advantage later.”

Brett mentions the top 3 things on how you can practice intentionally towards your goals and playing life on the offense:

1. Having brutal self-awareness

2. Choosing commitment over comfort

3. Setting measurable goals and tracking progress

Go back to the last five years of your life.

What is one of those really difficult moments in your life?

What did you learn from it?

How did you come out after you’ve gotten past that moment?

How do you think differently?

What part of you has become better?

If not from that moment, did you learn from people?

What was shifting perspective?
